The Commission on Justice and Peace provides a forum for:
OUR WORK
Programs of cooperation currently include four programs:
Just Peacemaking: Canadian churches working together on justice, peace and disarmament; speaking out on current events; and contributing to the Canadian and global debate on peacebuilding, security, human rights and the use of force.
Economy of Life: Canadian churches working together to reflect critically and theologically on developments in economic globalization, and undertake common action to present alternatives in the Service of an Economy of Life.
Strengthening Public Health Care in Canada: Canadian churches working together to contribute an ethical voice to the ongoing dialogue and debate about the future of health care in Canada.
Undoing Racism in Canadian Churches: Canadian churches working together to support anti-racism programs and educators who are working in member churches, sharing resources and learning among anti-racism educators, and supporting long-term change in Canadian churches and church organizations.
and two projects:
HIV and AIDS: The Commission was home to the Christian Host Committee for the pre-conference of the International AIDS Conference.
